Exercise Physiology
Is this you?
- You're managing a diagnosed health condition, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, low bone density, or heart issues, and want exercise that works with it, not against it.
- You're recovering from an injury or surgery, and need a program that's safe, structured and gets you back to full strength.
- Your GP has referred you under a Chronic Disease Management Plan, and you want to make the most of your Medicare-subsidised sessions.
- You'd rather see an Exercise Physiologist privately, without needing a referral to get started.
- You've felt unsure about exercising safely with your condition, and want guidance from an accredited professional who understands it.
- You want your program adjusted as your condition, pain or recovery changes, not a generic plan that ignores it.
What is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist?
An Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) is a university-qualified allied health professional who uses exercise to help prevent and manage chronic conditions and injuries, and to improve overall health.

What my clients say
"Using her exercise plan, I have been able to reduce my blood pressure medication and strengthen my legs - I'm taking the stairs 2 at a time now!"
"With Alex's recommendations, not only have I been able to reduce my blood sugar levels, but my Dr has even reduced my medications!"
"What I appreciate about Alex's approach was her calmness and understanding... she adjusts my program to match my energy levels each week."
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a GP referral to see you?
No — you're welcome to book privately without a referral. If your GP has referred you under a Chronic Disease Management Plan, Medicare rebates may apply to your sessions. Check with your GP or Medicare directly to confirm what you're eligible for.
What happens in the initial consult?
Your initial consult includes an assessment and movement screening, so I can understand your condition, injury or goals and build a program that's right for you. From there, we work together in 12-week blocks, with follow-up consults to track your progress and adjust the program as needed.
I have a health condition or injury. Will this be suitable for me?
I regularly work with people managing pre-existing health conditions and injuries — that's what Exercise Physiology is for.
It's best to book a call here to see if my coaching suits what you're looking for right now.
Can I claim a rebate through my private health fund?
It depends on individual insurance policy coverage. For your specific circumstance, please call your private health fund to check whether Exercise Physiology is part of your policy.
